"Art: take it off its marble pedestal and show it as a daily companion, refreshing, human and rich: witness of its time and prophet of times to come-" John de Menil.
Such a gift! Several city blocks dedicated to art, greenspace and original architecture - all family friendly and free! Enjoy the art, the music and the trees!
Been here 23 years and counting. A big priority during those college years (and for a long time after) was cheap eats. Being a frugal person, I still frequent a lot of my college choices, but don't think they're not worthy of a visit just because you can eat here for under $20.
Houston has a lot of restaurants, and a lot of good ones. My focus here is on the eclectic, the reasonably-priced, some for which I have a sentimental attachment, and those not covered in glossy magazines.
