The Promenade Plantee is a beautiful landscaped pedestrian trail high above the 12th arondissement built on the top of an abandoned viaduct. When you return home ask your government officials "If Paris can have one why can't we have one?" :) Wouldn't it be great to have more dedicated bike/pedestrian places like this in the world?

Hidden above the trees a 4.5 kilometer railway viaduct is now a green pedestrian trail in the 12th er. Bring an exquisite french pastry = heaven.
Can you believe you are in the middle of Paris? Multi-story apartments poke up here & there to pursuade you. Magnifique!
Galleries, cafes and coffee shops nestle in the arches below the Promenade Plante adding even more to the walkability of Paris -- if that's possible. :)
Natural, recyclable and recycled materials are transformed into usable objects -- journals, candle holders ... in this shop.
Find a crepe vendor on the street & place your order. Just DO NOT ask for extra butter. Very very dangerous.
12th arrondissement near Promenade Plantee, a highly regarded open air food market & flea market. Every morning except Monday. Happy bargains!
Enjoy a major avant-garde art exhibition at this rather young museum. Also 12th arrondissement. Bookstore. Cafe. Impress your friends.
The west entrance is walking distance from the end of the Promenade Plantee. 3X as large as Central Park NYC. Boat, picnic, stroll for acres & acres. Ah Paris.
Opened in 2007 in the Palais de la Porte Dorée at the edge of the Bois de Vincennes. Explores the history of immigration in France.
I've never biked Paris, but would love to.
Oooo next time I defenetly take my friend upon his offer to take his bike and go over this trail!
