Palmer House Hilton

Absolutely amazing lobby, recently renovated, usually overrun with some sort of conference. The location is pretty central and right down from Millennium Park.

Cloud Gate

The bean reflects the best of the city. Kids love to run right up to it and the view from underneath will invoke many wows and woooahs!

The Art Institute of Chicago

They have so many amazing exhibits, but don't miss the impressionists and the miniatures. There is a whole exhibit that kids are allowed to touch.

Patty Burger

Right down the block from the Institute of Art you will follow the locals in for a peppery burger with special sauce sealed with a smooch sticker.

Ed Debevic's

You are guaranteed that your kid won't be the sassiest, since the dancing servers like to be. You don't need to save room for the World's Smallest Sundae.

Fox & Obel Food Market

This is on the main drag headed towards the Navy Pier. You can stop in for some "city" trail mix of fancy candied nuts or a fat boy cakey sandwich cookie.

Lou Malnati's Pizzeria

Order ahead so that you aren't waiting for the deep dish. Nice and loud so you won't hear your stomach growling or your kids yelping for more pizza.

Shedd Aquarium

Even when crowded this aquarium is a great place to wander and watch your kids smack their lips at the fiiish! Don't miss the big area downstairs.

Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

Houses the indoor farmer's market in the winter and an awesome butterfly garden year round.

Minnies

Mini everything that will make kids and big kids happy. This is a popular spot that even has a stroller valet.

Tilli's

Bright and sunny spot inside and out. Curried chicken salad is a favorite. The brunch is a pleaser. Kids will like the crispy bread sticks.

Margie's Candies

Homemade hot fudge and peanut butter milkshakes cannot be missed at this Chicago old school landmark. The Beatles liked it, so it must be good right?

Stinky Pants

Browse the hip tshirts and bibs while your kid plays on the ride ons outside or tries out the instruments. There's nothing stinky about stinky pants.

Climate Home

So many unique little bric bracs. Something for everyone in a higher end, fun shop.

Bongo Room

Oh my goodness, the best pancakes I've ever had. Unique options like yummy pumpkin/carrot - The best is the peanut butter chip with chocolate goodness over it.
