Here are a few of the best beer bars in Massachusetts. See "Best Beer Bars in the World" for my list of all my favs.
In Brookline, MA: Great beers and fantastic Mac & Cheese! Dave, the owner, was knighted in Belgium for his work with beer.
Six Belgian beer taps, great bottle selection and slow food makes this a great place to visit! Owner Alec and his wife can be found behind the bar most nights.
Fantastic beers and really good food. Max runs a great place.
Easy to miss the bar, not well signed or even looking like they are open, but you gotta go if you love domestic high quality brews! No food, no credit cards!
Wicked old, wicked cool ... just wicked (as we say in Boston). Great beer list, both bottles and draft. Classics on the menu. Known locally as Jac'ys.
A "this" and "that" set of bars, two, that are full of American quality micro's and some imports. Belgian's are up the street at Publick House.
Haunted, it's a terrific old, old bar with a great vibe. Big working fire place. 8 taps and a good bottle selection. Love the wings. Music many nights.
Like 100 beers on tap and wonderful wings!
Good beer selection, even a couple Belgians in bottles, but the BEST wings around. Several styles and three levels of hot. Both boneless and bone in. Great!!
Great place a block from Fenway Park for beer and wings. Same great wings as the original in Framingham and only open for the baseball season.
A growing chain that has several good beers.
No ticket, no problem. See the game from below the bleachers at the Bleacher Bar.
Lots of taps but many macro's and could use an upgrade in service. 6/2009-was in the area and dropped in: Service much improved and tap selection was very good!
In addition to great hot wings try the shrimp! Super beer line up as well. A five star bbq place.
Yeah, no kidding. What about Bukowski's?
Never been ... I'll need to check it out!
