Snake Alley in Wanhua District
Known for a few stalls that sell snakes, this night market is next to the famous Long Shan Temple (龍山寺)
士林夜市 in 北投區
基隆廟口 (in Keelung) is better, but this is the best night market inside Taipei city. You'll find all the Taiwan favs here (Stinky tofu, egg-fried oysters, etc)
Taipei 101 in Sinyi District
For the moment, the tallest building in the world. There is a lookout from the top, shopping mall on the first 4 floors, and several restaurants.
光華商場 in Jhongjheng District
The place to go for electronics in Taipei. The prices are reasonable (since there's so much competition around) but there's still room to haggle on things
國父紀念堂 in Da-an District
A great spot to photograph 101 from. There's also a light festival here during 元宵節 (Lantern Festival)
Kiki's in Da-an District
Delicious, spicy Taiwan-influenced Szechuan cuisine. Their egg-tofu is great!
鼎泰豐 in Da-an District
A must-eat if you're visiting Taipei. Their 小龍包 is probably the best in the world. I prefer this location over 信義路 because the wait time for tables is shorter
