This is a laid back "paint your own pottery" studio. You can bring your own food/drink and CD's and have a fun time creating your own art. No talent needed.
A little off the beaten path, but the food can't be beat. Old fashioned Cajun food and some new twists with basic ingredients, e.g, crawfish. And good prices.
Great food in the Warehouse District - a kind of Cajun/American/Tex-Mex menu. Music on Friday nights. Try their Lucky Leprechaun. Eat in or on patio.
I can't get enough of watching their artisans work with the glass on Saturday mornings before or after I go to the Farmer's Market. Classes available.
They advertise as having the largest inventory of yarn in the SE and its true! Sock yarn, cat stitchery, classes (free and paid), friends, books, sales! Go!
Best hamburger in NOLA. Fun "dog" art, cajun wall mural, "beaded" piano. Family friendly. And of course, dog friendly. Close to WWII Museum. Free parking.
Cheap transportation and fun. Goes (almost) everywhere you want to go. One, Three and Monthly passes available at corner store at St. Charles and St. Joseph.
Great guide, thanks for the of the beaten path recommendations they are always the best
