I just loooove this city - spent here 6 months doing Erasmus - exchange student at uni - awesome expereince - it s one of my top 3 cities in Europe (Rome, London, Barcelona)
The top of Barcelona! :) You could get a cute blue tram to get there - beautiful views of the city.
Not only famous for its amazing architecture (Gaudis buildings) but it is also a fab avenue with great restaurants & high street/designer shops in the centre!
This little charming square is just off the Ramblas - with cafes and some restaurants. Not to be missed!
This is a great and funky place to chill out at the end of the Ramblas (main pedestrian avenue :) - when the weather is nice...just sit & enjoy the sunshine!
Fruit-veg-fish-meat market & much more :) It is not only aesteticly beautiful & coulorful but the variety of fresh fruit juices are amazing & cheap!
After walking here from Port Vell you sure work up some appetite - why not check out some great paella & fish restaurants here- (e.g. Gaviota)?
The human towers are pretty exciting stuff :) They are "built" traditionally in festivals - must check out programs to catch one before going! Truley fantastic!
An unmissable display of colour, light, motion, music and water acrobatics. It can only be seen from late spring to early autumn. Spectacular!
23 JUNE - people go to the beach - there are bonfires, music fireworks & coca:special cake for the occasion- and loads of fun! Also knows as the night of fire:)
This was one of my fave chill out places. Astonishing architecture, beautiful park, great view of Barcelona - forget about everything and enjoy!
Favourite tapas restaurant in Barcelona - small portions are cheap- gives you the opportunity to try loads of new things! They are all deelish!!
Take the lift upstairs and enjoy the views..You should then walk down and check out the stained glass windows, small hidden rooms & some spiral staircase!
Braseria & Tapes place - really loved it! Quick bite if you eat downstairs - proper restaurant if you are upstairs in the restaurant bit! N-joy!
Great paella-seafood restaurant right in the port - the food is quality - reasonably prieced.
Typicaly Spanish/Catalan - in the centre - but somehow hidden from tourists. Was recommended to me by a local friend. Pan amb tomaquet & other Catalan cuisine!
Nice tapas restaurant in the centre - great for lunch - menus are available too - fairly priced
