Great community theatre. Hard to get cast here, but it often shows in the quality of productions. They're always looking for people to get involved back stage.
It's easy to miss, but Dragon Productions brings cutting-edge theatre to Palo Alto. This wonderful black-box house has a 6 show season of dramas and comedies.
This adorable theatre tucked in the Pacifica hills is a true community theatre. Productions here range from musicals to comedies.
For high-quality musicals on the Peninsula, there is no better spot to watch (or perform) theatre than Broadway By the Bay. They run a great youth program here.
Coastal Rep is a cute theatre in the adorable coast-side town of Half Moon Bay. Finish off your day exploring this unique town with a show here!
For high quality theatre on the Peninsula, this is your place. They're professional, so you get what you pay for in quality most of the time.
High quality community theatre in Palo Alto. They do musicals & comedies best (whereas Dragon Productions does great dramas.)

A small theatre group based at Crystal Springs United Methodist Church in San Mateo.
A nice community theatre company in San Jose with a mix of musicals and cutting-edge dramas.
This group performs quality musicals in Los Gatos.

Thanks for putting this together! I wasn't aware of any theatre companies outside of San Francisco.
I wish there was a way to add the whole guide to my wishlist :-)
