As part of our mission to document all the great places and experiences around the world, we want to make sure that the content collected by nextstop contributors becomes as accessible as possible — not just on nextstop.com, but through any other website or application that people dream up.
To this end, we're providing a set of APIs to access the content available on nextstop and are excited to see what people do with it. You can use these APIs to search for relevant content in the nextstop database, or to retreive all available information about a particular place or guide. To start, this is a read-only API, but we'll be listening closely to feedback and watching what people do with the API to see where we take it from there.
Getting started with the nextstop APIs is easy! Just follow these three steps:
Register for an API Key. Just fill out this simple form to register for an API key. We've tried to make this very simple - we just want to be able to get in touch with you about changes or updates to the API.
Review the nextstop API Terms of Use. We've tried to make the nextstop API Terms as open and developer friendly as possible, but there are a few key requirements for use you should know about before getting started.
Get started! You can review the API Documentation or check out some of our API Examples for an idea of what you can do with the nextstop API.
